Dear Visitor,

We hereby extend our congratulations to you for having selected the website of the Klinik Dr. Kozlowski!

The Klinik Dr. Kozlowski is a private, specialty clinic for the performance of aesthetic plastic surgery (cosmetic surgery). We perform both inpatient as well as outpatient therapy in the field of aesthetic plastic surgery. In the field of aesthetic plastic surgery, the long-term experience of our specialists, Dr. E. Kozlowski and Dr. W. Funk, with an excess of 30 years and 16 years experience respectively, is once again representative for your excellent decision.

Patients demonstrate a great deal of confusion with regard to the concept of plastic surgery. We understand this term to be representative for restorative, reconstructive surgery. Aesthetic plastic surgery purely involves a superficial type of surgery, and deals only with the external, and also the functional appearance, of the patient. For the mandatory surgical training, and specifically for the education of specialists in plastic surgery, the education of these experts should be carried out especially with regard to those aspects of cosmetic plastic surgery which are necessary for the patient, in order that they can be provided with the best possible therapy. In addition, the physician should also demonstrate a harmonic understanding of forms and functions. Our most important goal is that our patients should be both satisfied and happy. Consequently, the careful planning of the surgical procedure which is to take place is associated foremost with an intensive patient consultation together with a realistic estimation of the feasible results.

The general medical clarification of the possible existence of illnesses, which might in part even lead to the exclusion of such an aesthetic plastic surgical procedure, must also play a role in this consultation. No operative procedure is without risk. More than any other specialty, those active in aesthetic plastic surgery must be concerned with the absolute well-being of their patient and must be sure to reduce all risk factors. After all, cosmetic surgery involves elective procedures which, if one considers the patient’s life expectancy, represent no prolongation to life, but - and that should be the ultimate goal - an improvement in the patient’s quality of life.

The success of an operation is dependent on several different factors:

1. The surgical knowledge of the surgeon

2. The cooperation of the patient

3. On the so-called healing capabilities of the patient

4. The realistic estimation of the feasible results by both parties
